Troubleshooting

Alerts Not Triggering

If your SignalViper alerts aren't firing, check these common issues.

Alert Status

First, check if the alert is active:

  1. Click the Alerts icon (clock) in TradingView
  2. Find your alert in the list
  3. Verify it shows as active (not stopped or expired)

Common Issues

Alert Expired

TradingView alerts have expiration dates. Check if your alert expired and needs to be recreated.

Condition Not Met

The alert condition may simply not have occurred yet. Review the condition to make sure it's set up correctly.

"Once Per Bar" Already Triggered

If using "Once Per Bar" frequency, the alert won't trigger again on the same candle.

TradingView Notification Settings

Check your TradingView notification settings. Make sure alerts are enabled for your preferred notification method.

Alert Limit Reached

If you've hit your TradingView alert limit, some alerts may be automatically disabled.

Testing Alerts

To test if alerts are working:

  1. Create a test alert with "Crossing" condition on current price
  2. Set a price just above/below current
  3. Wait for price to cross and verify notification
