Troubleshooting

TradingView Limitations

Some limitations are imposed by TradingView, not SignalViper. Here's what to know.

Indicator Limits

TradingView limits indicators per chart by plan:

  • Free: 3 indicators
  • Essential: 5 indicators
  • Plus: 10 indicators
  • Premium: 25 indicators

Alert Limits

Active alert limits by plan:

  • Free: 1 alert
  • Essential: 20 alerts
  • Plus: 100 alerts
  • Premium: 400 alerts

Historical Data

TradingView limits how far back indicators can calculate. This varies by timeframe and data availability from the exchange.

Real-Time Data

Some markets require paid real-time data subscriptions through TradingView. Without them, you may see delayed data.

Server-Side Alerts

Free TradingView accounts have limited server-side alert capabilities, which may affect webhook and email alerts.

Workarounds

  • Use multiple chart layouts to work around indicator limits
  • Create alert templates and rotate them as needed
  • Consider upgrading TradingView for serious trading
