Fangs: Support & Resistance

Fangs identifies key price levels where smart money is likely to react. It detects Order Blocks, Fair Value Gaps, and Swing Highs/Lows, displaying them as support (cyan) and resistance (magenta) lines.

What Fangs Does

Fangs uses three detection methods to find significant price levels: Order Blocks (the last opposing candle before a strong move), Fair Value Gaps (price gaps from impulsive moves), and Swing Highs/Lows as fallback. Levels are classified as support or resistance based on their position relative to current price.

Key Features

  • S/R Lines - Horizontal cyan (support) and magenta (resistance) lines at detected levels
  • Level Labels - Optional "S" and "R" labels marking each level
  • Dynamic Management - Levels auto-removed when broken, expire after max age, filtered by minimum distance
  • Smart Detection - OB and FVG levels prioritized over simple swing levels

Level Types

Order Blocks (OB)

The last opposing candle before a strong directional move. Bullish OB = down candle followed by breakout up. Bearish OB = up candle followed by breakdown.

Fair Value Gaps (FVG)

Price gaps created by impulsive moves where trading didn't occur. These often act as magnets for price to return and fill.

Support vs Resistance

Levels are classified based on position relative to current price, not origin type. A level can flip from resistance to support as price moves through it.

Best Practices

  • Look for Strike signals at Fangs levels for high-probability entries
  • Place stops beyond the S/R level
  • OB and FVG levels are generally stronger than swing levels
  • Use Rush chop state—levels work better in CLEAR markets

Settings

  • Sensitivity - High/Normal/Low controlling max levels, min distance, and max age
  • Line Width - Thickness of S/R lines (1-5)
  • Show Level Labels - Toggle S/R labels on/off
