Rush is the core momentum indicator of the SignalViper suite. It displays momentum using a 7-level heat gradient color system and includes chop detection to identify when the market is trending versus sideways.

What Rush Does

Rush uses Squeeze Momentum calculation—a linear regression of the difference between price and its SMA. This measures the "pressure" and direction of price movement, normalized against its recent high for consistent readings.

Key Features

7-Level Heat Gradient - Colors from deep magenta (very bearish) through lavender (neutral) to electric cyan (very bullish)
Chop Detection Dots - Gold dots warn when market is sideways, cyan dots confirm trending conditions
Real-Time Info Panel - Shows direction, strength percentage, momentum state (rising/falling), and market state (CHOP/CLEAR)

Reading the Indicator

Momentum Colors

Electric cyan (>60%) - Very bullish momentum
True cyan (30-60%) - Bullish momentum
Soft lavender (near 0%) - Neutral/transitioning
Hot magenta (-30 to -60%) - Bearish momentum
Deep magenta (<-60%) - Very bearish momentum

Chop Detection Dots

Gold dots (CHOP) - Market is sideways, avoid trend trades
Orange dots (CAUTION) - Borderline conditions (optional)
Cyan dots (CLEAR) - Market is trending, signals reliable

Best Practices

Only take momentum signals when market shows CLEAR (cyan dots)
Be selective during CAUTION—require stronger confirmation
Avoid new entries during CHOP (gold dots)—high whipsaw probability
Watch for momentum zero-crosses for trend change signals
